The Manchester is a lively hotel in Lexington's historic distillery district. Described as "the first high-end hotel in the horse and bourbon capital of the world," The Manchester sits on the site of the historic Ashland Distillery – the city's first registered bourbon producer, which was established in 1865.
GRANDDAM
BRANDING
Granddam (grandmother horse) is a three meal restaurant in Lexington, Kentucky in the new Manchester Hotel. We referenced the rich horse racing history of the area but approached it with a twist. The branding takes a playful approach and imagines the Granddam as the grandmother racing horse in her retirement. She no longer has to run for the roses, it's her time to kick back, have a glass of Bourbon, eat whatever she likes and lie down in the sun.
CAPITAL ONE CAFE & BANK
COMMERCIAL
Capital One approached us with a goal to re-imagine banking by creating a hybrid Bank and Cafe that shifts the status quo. They wanted to build a place where joy and finance aren’t mutually exclusive. And where we can celebrate our communities while re-defining what well-being looks and feels like.
LOST PALM
BRANDING
Lost Palm is a rooftop bar in Lexington, Kentucky in the new Manchester Hotel. The inspiration behind the bar, interior design and graphics is the golden age of South Florida racing, tying Lexington's rich horse racing history with the tropics of Florida. The branding and tone of the bar is frivolous, joyful and a little cheeky.
