TWIG FERTILITY

Twig Fertility is a humanistic and compassionate fertility clinic. It was important to us as designers that we remembered this through every touchpoint in the space. We wanted to create an elevated, calming environment and experience unlike any other space you might imagine when thinking of a clinic or medical office.

From the beginning of our design process we were drawn to the butterfly as a symbol of new beginnings and the circle of life, and drew inspiration from the texture and color palette of a butterfly wing. 

The first touchpoint for a client is the reception, this area is a mixture of tones, textures and colors in harmony. Soft off-white walls are contrasted with walnut panelling and overall the effect is a space not unlike a Toronto townhome.

It was important to us and the team at Twig that every part of the experience should feel personal and empathic. We reimagined the clinic changing space and created a private environment to comfort and lift. ⁠

Finally we considered the treatment room as one of the most important spaces in the project, a space where emotions and anxieties are often at their highest. We applied our calming design language with a balanced material palette and residential cues to help soothe and provide a moment of respite.
